Poll question: Coolest human being ever to live
Edited on Sat Apr-24-04 11:31 AM by undisclosedlocation
I really wanted to leave Jesus off. I mean, sure he took care of the wine for one wedding at Cana, but was he cool? (What's that sound? Thunder? Uh-oh!) Still, I wanted an outside chance that somebody other than Other would win, so I figured I'd better put him on there.

This poll is for entertainment (or at least silliness) purposes only. I promise you won't go to hell for voting against any deity, prophet or avatar.

EDIT: Replaced Aretha with Sinatra. Though I loved (I mean LOVED) all the other suggestions, and though Sinatra was an orifice, I still figure he's more likely to get traction than anybody else suggested (except maybe Clinton) and am almost out of editing time.

Edited on Sat Apr-24-04 10:56 AM by rooboy
you could get them to do their "dancing queen" number... Jesus would be ok, but I reckon he'd get all philosophical by midnight, and even if he told you the secret of life you'd be too drunk to remember it in the morning.

Inspired by rooboy's comment about drinking with Jesus. (Of course there's always Jello Biafra, but come on!)

Edit: was the Dalai Lama, but he's got a vote now

Don't pay attention to the critics or the box office...go see Billy Bob's Davy Crockett! Magnificently written and acted (even though there are flaws in the rest of the film).

Archaeologist and documentary god John Romer, at this time telling all about Byzantium on the Discovery Times channel. (Presumably they ran out of wall-to-wall Saddam programming and had to fall back on material from their days as the late, lamented, and ought to be brought back Discovery Civilization channel.) God I'm such a nerd! :P

31. Well, you can bookmark them
Edited on Sat Apr-24-04 01:40 PM by undisclosedlocation
Unfortunately, the Search function costs the admins money, so you have to be a donor to use it. However, you can donate very little (as low as a dollar, as I recall)

To bookmark, scroll to the top of the thread and click on the link that says, "Bookmark this thread." To view the bookmarked threads, back out to the Lobby, scroll up to the top, click on Options, then click on "View your bookmarks."

For threads that you started, you can sort the board by author and find yours that way.

In the long run, you can google democraticunderground and your username, but this takes a couple-three weeks and anyway your username being a regular word, you might not find this too satisfactory.
