How's the New "ROCK AGAINST BUSH" CD?
I've heard it just went on sale. Where's it available besides amazon.com? Personally, I don't know if I'll buy it - I like guitar rock but I'm not so much into punk. Still, I may well buy it just b/c of the subject matter.

Definitely, the Kerry campaign (which needs to overhall it's website anyway and make it more attractive) NEEDS to put this on their online store, as part of a youth outreach effort. Along with this there should be more attractive campaign shirts, posters, and other accessories that are cooler and more appealing. The Rock Against Bush CDs definitely need to be a part of that.

1. And here's why you need to buy the CD this weekend.
If Fat Wreck can sell enough CDs this week to get Rock Against Bush
in the top 40, the headlines and exposure will ensure the CD stays on
the shelves and on the air. The rankings are weekly, and this week is
their best shot. They’re almost there, but to make the cut they will
need an infusion of sales *this weekend*. That’s where we come in.

You can go to http://www.fatwreck.com/clickback to order your copy of
Rock Against Bush Vol. 1 for just $6.

Fat Wreck is donating 100% of the proceeds to progressive
organizations. And for every CD purchased through Click Back America,
$1 extra goes to support the MoveOn.org Voter Fund.

Where'd you read/hear this? I couldn't find any mention of this on the Fat Wreck site. If its true, its an even better reason to buy this. In fact, everyone on DU should buy this damn thing! That's like forty thousand sales right there.

2. i haven't heard it yet, but it's not all punk
it's got Ministry, Denali, The Get Up Kids and also bands like Strike Anywhere and Alkaline Trio that would appeal to traditionally non-punk fans. You should check this out.

3. Thanks for this!
I HATE punk music, even rock music. Yet I just purchased this. It's two CDs, I think, PLUS a free DVD, for a damn low price. And supposedly there's a packed booklet with lots of info. You can't beat the message, either. I probably won't listen to this more than once (if I can even get through the whole thing), but I'm glad I purchased it.
