Contreras has proven to be a waste of money. I bet Steinbrenner starts acquiring pitching talent. Right now the Sox have a great bullpen.

3. Contreras will probably end up a great pitcher. He's got alot of issues

to work out, one of them being the fact that Castro won't allow his family to leave Cuba to be with him.

....that's gotta be tough on him.
He has great stuff at times, but you can just see it in his eyes, that something is not right and maybe it's the absence of his wife and kids.

I hope he gets it together, more for his own sake than anything else.

I get very emotional at the mere thought that the Red Sox have not won a World Series since 1918. Very emotional indeed.
I cried and cried and cried when Aaron Boone hit that home run last year to end the Sox season.....just like Mariano was on the mound at the end of that game. He was upset that the Sox had lost too! Why else would he be crying? }(

Anyway, I'm sure the Yanks will hit their stride before too long.
They'd better, or George will blow his top.....if he hasn't already.

But in all seriousness Rose, if the Sox are going to ever win another WS, I think this is the year.
The word is that this team will be broken up at the end of this year because many are free agents.
