We just got back from the march in DC - ask us ANYTHING!!!
We have Ramsey, GOPisEvil, fudge stripe cookays and myself here at our hotel drinking champayney (like the Continental) and trying to find news coverage of the 1.25million folks who attended the march.

Ask us any questions we'll be happy to answer!!!

PS - Moby is staying in our hotel!!!!

try to find Moby's room and plant a big wet juicy kiss on him?

If so, I want pics?

21. I'm a part of history
This is something that will be part of my life forever

I felt that the power of 40,000+ members of DUers were there with us marching. And we handed out a ton of DU bumperstickers so hopefully we'll expand to even more

13. I watched on CSPAN...
I wish I could have been there so badly. The whole event was so great. And I totally love Tyne Daly so much more. And I loved Ani Defranco's poetry. Christine Lahti was great. I especially loved it when she asked, "Why are they so threatened by equal rights?" And someone in the front screamed "BECAUSE THEY'RE WEAK!" It was so great. I'm so jealous. But I'm glad my feet don't hurt. LOL You guys rock!

If you're still gonna be in D.C. tomorrow morning, how about rounding up a dozen or so marchers and heading over to show your support for Sibel Edmonds? In case you haven't heard, Smirk and his evil minions are up to no good again... go give 'em hell if you can. :D

I went in '92. It is such a powerful feeling to put yourself on that street & raise your voice to be heard. It's something that will stay with you forever. Rest your tootsies, drink a little more of that bubbly, & know that you took part in something that will be long remembered.

Did Vanessa Kerry speak?

How did they manage signature gathering? Did it appear that most signed?

Most people signed. The organizers were aggressively going through the crowd making sure we all signed up.

37. In answer
Vanessa Kerry was here, appeared to be hanging out with Hillary Clinton, but didn't speak as far as I know.

They did gather signatures, but I'd bet at least half the people didn't sign up. They only caught me at the very end, and only because I asked to sign.

25. How big was the DU delegation?
I didn't get downtown until 12:30 (we were running on Pagan Standard Time) and didn't get to locate the Evil DUers, but I certainly kept an eye out for the banner.

Also, what were your favorite signs, and what's this about everyone posing with George? Did you have a standup?

26. There were 30 folks in our group...
...and about 10 more that joined in either at the end or afterwards.

We have a George Bush standup - covered with very liberal stickers and other amusing things. Everyone wanted to pose with Bush

34. WHoooooo!
I just got back! I cannot thank you and GOPisEvil and all the rest of you for paying for Jess and my dinners. Seriously that was great. We never made it to an ATM, so we had no cash. Thank you over and over and over again.

Oh and MOBY!! Whoa, that was too cool. Jess says that the conversation at dinner was great. That was her first time in DC BTW, and she LOVED it to put it mildly!

And my voice is nearly gone from chanting "SHOW THEM WHAT DEMOCRACY LOOKS LIKE!" when walking past the anti-choice people.

I'm running on 12 oz of coffee in case you couldn't tell....

47. I just got home
My feet hurt, I'm exhausted but I'm ecstatic over the turnout at the march and at meeting you all, of course! We made history!!!

There were mostly college kids on my bus and I gave them a nudge about turning the enthusiasm they're taking home from the march into turnout at election in November. I had my DNC sign that said "Democrats March in April and VOTE in November". I handed out "Women for Kerry" stickers and they were all supportive.

I have very good feelings for November.

Anyhow, I hope you have a great few days in DC. Lynne, thank you greatly for all you did to organize this.
