This is what democracy looks like!
So here we are in DC watching the local news coverage of the March for Women's Lives. Caveat: we're watching Fox. They did pretty nice piece on the march itself, even admitted there were hundreds of thousands of people there.

Then they interviewed tourists in town who were disappointed to find they couldn't get near the monuments or museums because the biggest march for choice in over a decade was going on in town. Some lady from Massachusetts was interviewed, complaining that she had never been to DC before and now she wouldn't get to see it.

I thought, well, a major protest in DC IS what being in DC is all about, so take advantage! This is what democracy looks like!!!

2. Sadly, this is still necessary in America.
Most other civilized countries have already settled the debate and moved on.

9. I had planned to go
but had to host a b-day for my kid. Today was the only day I could get the theatre tix, so I was bummed. I used to march a lot for choice in the 80s/ pre-Clinton. I was so excited to see how many people were there!
