Who will see The Day After Tomorrow?
I went to the movie's website...

There was this picture of people running through the streets of NYC from a tidal wave. It looked too much like the 9/11 pictures of people running from the smoke and debris.

It sent chills down my spine. I don't think I can watch this film.

:scared:

...interesting, to say the least. I want to see it, but will probably wait for the dvd release though (too cheap & poor to go to the movies)

4. Last three movies I've seen are
"Return of the King", "28 Days Later" and "Finding Nemo". I think it's time to throw some more doom and gloom into the mix to counterbalance all that Nemo happiness, don't you?

Yeah, I'm going to try and catch a matinee of it so it's only about $5 instead of $9 or whatever.

10. You really should see Dawn of the Dead...
I hate movies like that, and I loved it.

5. I can hardly wait.
Lucky me, my son works for a movie chain, and I get to see everything for free. And at the theater he works in, they give me free popcorn! I'm spoiled.

9. These are the same people who made "Independence Day"
Which gives me pause, to say the least. I don't want to waste my time sitting through another crapfest like "ID4".

I'll wait for your opinions.

13. the trailer is very intense
I saw the trailer in the theater. It is extremely disturbing. It about ruined the movie I came to see, because the images would not leave my mind.

That said, if you remember the trailer for Independence Day, it was also quite strong (if not this strong) and that movie was a lot of fun but not really disturbing in the slightest. This is the same director. I think it will be another case where the trailer is more powerful than the full-length movie.

That said, yes, I will go see the movie. If I get too bothered, I'll just leave. But I think the trailer being punchier and more compact is as intense as it's likely to get.
