Cheap ebay art.
Anybody got any favorite ebay artists they'd like to share?

One is tempted to want to keep secrets about this sort of thing for fear of bidding wars, but I think that everybody's taste is so different that it's really not a big issue. I haven't found a lot that I like and can afford, but still I look. There are a lot of artists that have one or two good pieces and a whole lot of crap. I like finding those little odd masterpieces and paying next to nothing for them.

So share. And please post pictures. I wish I could, but this isn't my computer. Maybe I can post some links or something if this thread takes off.

5. Well, he's not just an "ebay artist"
Eric Legge's paintings are in serious collections all around the country. Nonetheless, a lot of his work is put up on ebay by his friends (Eric himself is quite the Luddite).

I have several of his paintings, and am always wanting more.

6. NIce.
I wouldn't mind owning a couple of those myself (you handist bastard). A bit pricey for me though. The topic is CHEAP ebay art.

Naw, just kiddin'. Any price up to $252.53 will be tolerated. ;^)

7. Gonna give it one more shot.
Here's another of my ebay finds. Most of what this girl does is frankly pretty bad. And some people don't much care for this one. But I like it. I think of it as a sort of folk art painting. It's naive, almost primitive in a way. I like what it reveals about the artist, and what is says about our culture in general.

The drawing/painting itself has a really cool attraction/repulsion thing going on. She's kinda creepy, in adition to being hot.

In short, I have my reasons for liking it.

15. Your choices are interesting Chaska. Made me question my own
I am an "idea" person--which I why I think I tend to like abstracts. I like to be able to explore the colors, patterns and possibilities instead of being limited by definition of objects and subjects.

Here are a few of my favorites:

Hi, Linazelle, glad to meet you!

I just wanted to thank you for promoting my work, and I'm glad you like it. I found this message while I was tracking hits to my auctions and am now off to investigate the rest of the forum. I'm happy to have found democraticunderground.com.

I can't keep kicking this thread. It just looks kinda pathetic. Is nobody interested? Comments? How about just posting some pretty pics. I like art, what can I say.

Here's another by that same artist (the one who did the winged red head). This one and the next are my two favorites by her.

16. Sure.
A different sort of art; painted silk scarves. Her other stuff doesn't interest me, but I love the hand-dyed/painted scarves.
