My mum taught me 18,000 times to play euchre. Still can't remember
how.

Just curious, I know the place pretty well. My grandparents live in Brighton.

13. Yea, Rochester is a dying city,
Sorry to hear about your position at Kodak, seems to be a recurring experience to Kodak workers in the last decade...

15. Actually, having heard some stories from
friends who work there, I seem to have gotten lucky by not getting the job.

I still read Bob Matthews online, though. Tried to stomach Lonsberry, but it didn't work.

The day WHAM let him go was a great day for Conservative talk radio.

17. What got me was his
opinions about Mayor Johnson (a couple which actually weren't all that far off the mark) were put forth in such a racist way, but when his job is on the line he talks to Don Alhart on TV about how badly he needs and wants to take diversity training. But in most of his columns he calls other people "gutless."

10. Knew you had to be somewhere near Ontario
Hardly anybody else knows how to play euchre. My aunts even go to tournaments and win big money. Well not really big, but a couple hundred bucks. I've been to Rochester.

It's all that Germanic stock.

19. I Learned
to play euchre when I went to college in the Pittsburgh area. I hate card games, but I liked euchre. When I came back home to the Philadelphia area, no one had heard of it, so now I forget how to play.

7. Same here -- don't wanna play Java games at work.
Anyway, euchre ain't the same online. I want four drunken people sitting around the table calling "loners" on every other hand.

In college, my friends and I skipped innumerable classes to play euchre.

11. I can relate...
Was just playing euchre last night and got to that "loner" stage quickly. That, and telling the dealer to pick it up even though I had nothing good in my hand... those are the sweet ones to win.

20. Lots of Euchre players around...
when I was growing up in the Detroit area. No one in California knew what it was, and I'm not aware of anyone playing it in Minnesota, either.

I've learned to play a few times, and then promptly forgot...:dunce:
