1. Heineken
It's the beer I usually drink unless a bar has 1.50 Coors light or some special like that. Beer is beer to me for the most part but I prefer Heineken.

if I'm going on the cheap I gotta live la vita alta (Miller high Life) for some reason those bottles seem kind art deco cool to me.

Ya don't believe me? Go check back through some old threads. Those are also my favs!!! All of them. No shit!

I think I've given a few others honorable mention here over the years. Rogue Dead Guy Ale, Boulevard, and Kirin.

11. Cheap: Amber Bock or Killian's
Not cheap: Guinness (natch) or Murphy's Irish Stout. Also Harp and Boddington's.

Yellow beer is good for when you're doing yardwork or some other "thirsty" activity.

16.  "Black Butte Porter".....
....is about the best you can get around here. I remember a very tasty brew from New Mexico called "Sierra Blanca Nut Brown Ale" but I don't think it has wide distribution. In bygone day's there was an import from Australia called "Tooth Sheaf Stout" but sadly, they've changed the recipe.

18. My favorite beers are cheap beers.
They get me drunk the quickest (and are the easiest to go down). MGD and Miller Light are my preferences, but I also like to drink Coor's Light at times.

22. Not a connoisseur, but
If I have money, Heineken or St.Pauli girl.

If I have little cash, Rolling Rock or Yeungling.

(Of course if I have a big surplus it's not a beer time, it's Maker's Mark or a nice dry red...)

31. Second on SNPA.
Their Celebration Ale (seasonal) is the best beer I've ever had, bar none.

Also like Goose Island Honkers Ale, Samuel Adams Boston Ale, and Leinie Creamy Dark Lager.

Cheap beer? Leinie original or MGD. Can't stand Bud. Really cheap beer makes my stomach ache.

27. I judged in the AHA regional homebrew competition this weekend
Got to judge a flight of "Experimental/historical" beer (aka, The Freak Show), and a flight of fruit meads.

The best experimental beer was a robust porter brewed with chocolate, and the best mead was a Concord pyment.

.....a friend of mine used to brew a coffee, chocolate, double stout. He called it "Java Stout" and it was wonderful! Good home brew is in a class by itself.
