Just slipped into
one of those reflective moods. Thinking back of my days in Texas, taking my ex-wife to see a friend of mine play. I miss those songs.

Deep in the West

Deep in the West where the tall mountains grow
I've gone home
Where the heaven above turns red from the fire
Down below
Are you listening to me when I'm talking to you
Said together we're one, divided we're through
Silver friend at night, yellow friend you come
With the dawn
Back in my heart, I've been drying my eyes
See me run
So you hang onto me, and I'll hang on to you
Said together we're one, divided we're through
Refusing to talk, I suppose that it's all
For loves sake
And learning to give, that's important
Before you can take from me
Are you listening to me when I'm talking to you
Said together we're one, divided we're through
So hang onto me, and I'll hang on to you
Said together we're one, divided we're through

You've Got A Lover

The clubs there all closing and theres no place to go
and the sun, it won't show for hours
The streets they've all emptied, and lovers lay sleeping
thinking of each other
You've got a lover
but its not me
he can't love you like I can
There will be other yes I understand
will they love me like you can?

Shake Russell

I miss those days, and old friends.

3. they are very good
I lost my original Shake and Dana album along time ago but I have it all backed up on cd's. Here in Washington they never have the new stuff. I wish they would make it this far north to play someday.
