how can I find someone?
All I know is his name (fairly common), his approximate age (w/in 15 years, +/-), the name of the woman he married, and where, in 1977-8, where he taught in the late '70s, and that he's also a musician.

I don't have any money to spend on knowx.com or any search site like that. This is a former teacher (brought to mind by ALago's post about male elementary teachers).

Any ideas?

1. what about contacting the school he formerly taught at?
Maybe they could offer some other promising leads?

But that's not a bad suggestion. Maybe the school district. . . . Thanks!

4. Sometimes, just running his name as he uses/used it
on Google, in quotes, will turn up stuff. Or running his first name, his wife's first name, and their shared last name (no quotes). It's a long shot, but frequently it will turn things up -- unless his name is Jim Smith, of course, in which case you may as well pursue more locale-specific options. I found several of my ex-husband's buddies from when he was in the military that way, and also a friend I had back when I lived in New Mexico with the ex.

I'm told it's not easy to find people that way, but since it's easy for me, I don't know if it really is difficult or not.

5. Go to "bighugs.com or go on the net and check white pages
under his name or wife's name (their # could be listed)
