Buying a house is too huge a deal to do yourself. There are a million things that can go wrong and just having a contract is not enough. Better to pay a lawyer now rather than having to get one later when there's trouble. At the very least, call a real estate firm and ask for a broker to represent you. Some may do it on a fee basis rather than a percentage of the purchase price - will depend on the agency.
Hate to lay on the doom and gloom, but I'm betting a quick search of the net will yield tons of horror stories of people who tried to navigate the intricacies of home-buying by themselves.

There's a lot more to it than filling out a contract.
Which state, by the way?

you shoudl just be able to find a standard contract possibly at staples or a contract site.
The only thing i think you should really worry about is to make sure the house meets your inspection standards and get a profesional title opinion.
