Plea for help (Seriously)
I suffer from a variety of ailments (diabetes, degenerative disc disease, sleep apnea, severe treatment resistant depression, OCD and PTSD) and am currently on disability.

Now that the semester is drawing to a close, I won't have any social or musical outlets. I'll be basically alone and for me, that is a recipe for disaster. I want to stay positive and perhaps get my body into better shape. During my last several attempts to exercise, various parts of my body fell apart. I tried to walk and developed plantar fasciitis in both feet. I tried upper body work and water aerobics and developed herniated discs in my neck. I'd like to try again.

I'd like to try a lot of things again, but I'd like for someone to be there for me, to make sure I do the things I need to do, to encourage me when things are hard. I have a vague idea of what I need to do, but need someone to hold me accountable.

I don't know anyone in real life that can help me with this. Is there anyone who could take me on? I need someone I can talk to (at least briefly) every other day or so.

Description of perfection person:

1) Caring and understanding
2) Will work with me on goals. Won't push too hard, yet will hold me accountable for what I say I will try.
3) Caring and understanding
4) Has enough time (won't feel like I'm a burden)
5) Caring and understanding
6) Understands how difficult an obstacle Depression can be
7) Caring and understanding
8) Non-fundy
9) Politically left of center

Thank you. I hope someone can help.

1. Hi Lady!
Well, you're letting me use your letter, maybe I can help you out a little ;) Just teasing about that, but I would seriously be willing to chat with you on IM, if you do that! I know how hard depression can be, have been there and done that. I'm also diabetic. I don't (yet) have other medical stuff to deal with, but my mom and grandfather have gone through a lot of that kind of stuff... so my ears are always open! Drop me a message sometime, my IM is in my member info!

2. Hey LadyHawk
I was thinking about checking in on you today.
Been there, dealt with a lot of the above list.
PM me sometime, OK?
I will be sorta in and out the next couple days as I have a little family emergency thing to keep up with, but will check in a bit several times a day.

Think we might have some common ground and goals.

Did you see the West Wing episode were Leo tells the story about the guy trapped in a hole? He keeps yelling to people to help him but no one really stops to help. Finally, the guy sees a friend and yells up to him for help. The friend jumps in the hole too. First guy says, 'What, are you nuts? Now we're both stuck down in this hole!' And the friend replies, 'Yeah, but I've been down here beofre and I know the way out.'

PM me and I will see how I might be of help.

Take care
