Should I resume posting Insomniac Threads?

I started doing this about a week ago, but yesterday, a fellow DUer expressed displeasure at this. He accused me of stealing his idea.

What say you?

Thank the individual for sharing and go on with life. If this person beats ya to it, and posts first, just join in. Certainly you cannot be expected to refrain if said individual is being so unreliable in performing their insomniac posting duties. Failure on his/her part effectively passes the torch to someone will to bear this burden ... in this case, your noble self.

Felt sorry for you actually because I thought it was bad form to blow the wind out from underneath someone just trying to have some fun.

I think it's kind of silly to think of traditions as being "owned" by any one person. Just do it if you want to, and if someone does it before or after or at the same time as you, don't be offended...go with it. Seems like half the threads I start are duped a few hours later and end up getting far more responses than my original, but it doesn't matter. It's all good. We are just sharing here...all supposed to be on the same side.

First, I never said you stole the idea from me, but rather, I had to show that I was not "hijacking" (your term) your thread idea. I posted that link to last December as evidence that I did NOT steal your idea.

Second, I never said I made it up, just that I did my own (hell, DUers have been doing them since this place started) back in December.

This is all rather silly, since I was YANKING YOUR CHAIN in that exchange the other night. That was supposed to be taken LIGHTLY.

Edit: All is well. But the people who were quick to take umbrage with me should take heed too - I WAS JOKING the other night.

I will chalk up all recent humor impairments to the recent world events which have taxed us all.
