What jobs do you all do?
Edited on Tue Apr-27-04 06:04 AM by Guy_Montag
I'm sure this gets asked fairly frequently, but I've never seen it...

So to start off I work as an engineer in a university in the UK.

Edit: Students what do you study?

So much for graduating with honors as a Paralegal/Legal Assistant. That was a huge waste of time.

3. Unemployed 4 years! - A Republicans Worst Nightmare
Edited on Tue Apr-27-04 06:04 AM by mhr
Two College Degrees: BSEE, MBA

Special Training: FAA Certified Commercial Pilot

Military Service: Officer United States Navy

Professional Work Experience: Long and Varied

Slowly becoming impoverished!

Can't get low income jobs - too much experience, too many illegal aliens
Can't find middle class white collar jobs - outsourced or already filled

Republicans say I and others did not work hard enough, or play by the rules well enough, or stay off drugs, or a whole host of other excuses used to dismiss the misfortune of others?

The argument does not hold water and myself and others are living proof of the lie!

The American Dream Is Dying At The Hands Of Outsourcing And Tax Cuts For The Ultra Wealthy.

Despite the above, I Nominally Look For Work Every Day.

28. the Kelly Gang were a gang of Australian bush rangers /outlaws
who were poor Irish farmers being harassed by the mainly British police in the early days of the colonies..led by Ned Kelly who was finally captured in a shoot-out wearing a self-made suit of armour.
Ned was a fairly poetic speaking bloke and is an Australian icon.

A few films have been made about them..one in the 70's starring Mick Jagger as Ned and another last year starring Heath Ledger.

The establishment hung Ned.

at the number of highly-qualified unemployed people out there. I had 9 months on the social before I got my current job & I hated each & every day of it. Especially when our govt. going on about how unemployment was the lowest ever etc.

I met plenty of people with better qualifications than me who had been unemployed for years, normally because they were "too old".

So good luck to all those people out there who are looking for work

I don't like their m-mode at all...can't get it everywhere.

Also, to all the customer service reps out there:

THANK YOU for what you do...you have the MOST DIFFICULT job in any company because you are the first and often last person someone speaks with at a company and thus are the "face/voice" of the company. Those who have not done customer service work do not realize the stress CSR's endure daily. Call after call...
