NB UK's Hellfire Club, founded by Sir Francis Dashwood in the 17th century, is a paedophile covert society, much admired by Aleister Crowley, whose rites and rituals are not entirely dissimilar to those of the Scull and Bones in the US....

6. The recent DU postings on Richard McGarrich Helms, ex-CIA

officer and Nazi afficionado, was full of interesting stuff about skull and bones/sex abuse histories of prominent members who nevertheless rose high to public office following CIA cover ups.

3. I don't think Bell meant to reference Hellfire Club

The train pretty cleary says Hell FORCE 1, a pretty obvious reference to Air Force One, I think. As a editorial cartoonist myself, I don't see what the point would be of equating Bush and Blair with a secret society of child molestors. It doesn't make sense in the larger context.

All that analysis aside, this is a brutal cartoon. Bell has got major league cajones.

I don't recall seeing any evidence of that. Women molestors definitely, men too, perhaps goats. But no kids.

7. The Poodle Brothers are custodians of appalling child sex

crime coverups in the US and UK. Ain't no votes in bringing religious orders to justice for perpetrating sex abuse of minors.

They prefer just to do a deal with JP2 et al.

Starting a war with Afghanistan or Iraq is good "Churchillian" stuff if you are looking at re-election.

Nothing like a prolonged diversionary tactic.
