Invisible Force Field To Stop Terrorism
<snip>

IT sounds like something out of a science fiction movie - an invisible "forcefield" which protects landmarks and high-security installations from terrorist attack.

But it's a reality and the early warning weapon in the hi-tech war against terrorism has been developed in our own backyard.

A Sydney firm has invented an invisible "bubble" that can be thrown around buildings, ports, airports and even parts of the sea using thermal imaging technology.

Castle Hill-based Zone Products Australia' system can detect a tank at 15km in pitch black conditions and warn of the presence of chemicals, gases, radioactive and other materials in a protected area.

2. Didn't they try this back during WW2...
I think they were using electromagnets to be "invisible." And the entire ship, including the crew, disappeared. They think they travelled into the future. Weird shit. Of course, I saw this on The SciFi Channel. And no it wasn't a movie. It was one of those strange happenings in history things.

3. "Philadelphia Experiment."
It was a process to make a ship "invisible" magnetically, which was important at that time because the Germans had a notoriously effective magnetically-triggered mine.

But a certified wack job named Carl Allen blew the story into la-la land, and Charles Bullshit...I mean Berlitz embellished it even more.
