What does one need to know about prison |
|
before going into it?
I'm not even close to it, but do wonder what the inner-secluded society is all about?

I have had to go into them as part of my job, and when they close that door behind you you have a feeling of dread.... and I know that I can get out at any time, but its still spooky!

2. Depends on the type of prison |
|
There are all kinds, from minimum security rehab-like places to maximum security joints like Pelican Bay. Depends also on the state. Southern states are the worst. I hear worldwide the Scandinavian countries have the nicest prisons.

3. Maybe you could consider a monastery... |
|
if you're curious about solitude. Just as an academic exercise kinda thing?

5. Not academic "exercise kinda thing" |

a question that I would like answers to, because there are now over 2 million citizens in prison.
Not academic to them, I would guess.

You write: <...a question that I would like answers to, because there are now over 2 million citizens in prison.>
I didn't get that from your original post...thought you were interested in the experience of seclusion/solitude.
So, let's talk about prison. What specifically would you like to know? Or, tell all of us at DU what you know...and we'll take it from there.

again, a simple question.
"thought you were interested in the experience of seclusion/solitude."
maybe that would be a big part of it, but I wasn't specific.
"What specifically would you like to know?"
Any answers to the question I asked. If someone would like to be specific, that is their choice.
"tell all of us at DU what you know..."
I think I did.
"we'll take it from there."
So?
If you don't want to answer the question, don't! If you want to be confrontational, I'm not in the mood.
