Looked like a spoof to me. No blood, etc. I don't think it was real.

Here's what the log would look like if that spot had been shot with a real cat:

Take 2: Scene too long
Take 3: Bad light
Take 4: Cat fell wrong side of car

Take 6: Cat slid down windshield
Take 7: Death throes not funny enough

Plus, no animal wrangler would allow an animal he had spent lots of time and money training to be killed.
