Poll question: Favorite Christopher Cross song? (Cheese alert!)
Edited on Wed Apr-28-04 02:05 PM by phillybri
I know the cheese alarms are sounding at full volume right now, but goddammit, he's got a few good tunes!

Any takers?

2. Except for sailing....
and the Arthur song...I don't know any of his stuff.
So sailing is his "best"

3. <sigh> Memories
of the sun setting while making your way casually back to the port. Calm seas, light breeze, a large jug of an inexpensive (cheap) Chablis hanging by a rope into the cold lake Superior water...listing to "Sailing" on the FM radio. The sound of wind in the sails and the water slipping easily past the hull.

God I miss that..............

9. Christopher Cross can tear it up on the guitar!
Check out the solo at the end of "Ride Like The Wind" on his live DVD. The man can play. My wife and I drove about 4 hours each way to see him last summer and it was worth every minute. (Keep in mind that I'm normally a Frank Zappa kind of guy, if that means anything.) Heck of a nice guy, too. We chatted for a few minutes after the show, discussing the state of the concert industry post-9/11.

12. "Laura" used to make me cry
when I was little. I heard it on the radio a few years ago and chuckled remembering how tragic and deep I thought it was. SO cheesy.
