Had a 440 RT at the time. Didn't get a ticket, Troopers car was faster, he thought that was humiliation enough.

THey don't make 'em like that any more do they? :)

Though I had a Mustang 5.0 in college (LX sedan model many troopers in the SE used to drive), my fastest was in my Peugeot 505 Turbo in highschool (before I was smart enough to realize I wasnt made of steel). 140mph on a straight line and down hill, got it to tick up to about 145 (for those in ATL area, this was on GA 400 heading south from the lake at about 2 am).

Problem was getting sideways past 140, didn't handle worth a shit.

Fast as a rocket in a straight line, but you better be wearing a helmet if you try and turn them at speed.

Fastest I ever took my Mustang up to was 130 and it was the same way (still pulling like a champ) but it was WAAAAAY to light on the turns for my liking - one of my reasons for not ever topping it out.
