aauuuuurrrgggghhhh...I shouldn't have left the garage door open |
|
I only left it open for two days ....
and the Robins built a nest on top of my extension ladder hanging on the wall.......
When I close the door to go out in the car, I get dive-bombed by one pissed off robin.....
don't know what I'm going to do...maybe there are eggs in the nest...

I guess there must be eggs in the nest -- or do birds dive-bomb even when there's nothing to defend? Too bad you can't just move the ladder outside.

2. The youngsters should fledge in a couple months |
|
then you can have your ladder back. Until then, wear a hat. Or borrow the neighbor's cat.

I had a holiday wreath that I meant to take down and throw away, but I kept forgetting about it. I don't see it every day because I don't use the front door.
Anyway, I go to get the wreath a few weeks ago, only to discover a couple of house wrens are using it. :eyes: I'll have to wait until the chicks go.

6. You did just the right thing. The birds will find it, it will all be FINE |
|
I've even put fallen babies back in nests, and once couldn't get a baby hummingbird back in his nest, so we put it in a makeshift nest in an open window nearby; mom took only a couple minutes to find the baby, and nursed him there for weeks, until he could fly away.
