2. The greatest pleasure is easy |
|
Sex,and lots of it.
The worst pain? That's harder to nail down, with all the horrible things going on in the world today. If I had to say what's the worst pain in a personal sense, I'd say losing someone you love to death. Or seeing your child make horrible mistakes and being powerless to do anything about it.

4. According to Joseph Campbell |
|
God is Love so being in love could be considered the greatest pleasure. He also recounts the story in Greek Orthodoxy that says the Devil loves God but cannot be with him. That is Hell, not being with the one you love.

7. The greatest pleasure? |
|
Infatuation and lust - being swept away in a sudden romance.
The greatest pain - being acutely depressed and suicidal. Nothing else even comes close.

10. The worst pain: Losing your child |
|
I'm so fortunate to have 2 healthy boys. My older stepson lost his baby boy to SIDS last June. He was just shy of 5 months. I can only imagine how empty their lives must have felt after so many months of getting up in the wee hours for love of this precious baby...to suddenly have him wrenched out of their lives must have been sheer agony. There's some consolation in that they didn't watch him suffer, at least.
The greatest pleasure? They're pregnant again, and due any day now! :D

11. that would be so hard |
|
I didn't realize how scary that possibility would be til I had a child. My heart goes out to them.
The greatest pleasure, after the obvious ones like sex and love, is when a child laughs for the first time. That was really astonishing.

14. There's a reason why parents get no sleep for 6 months... |
|
I remember so well, going into my boys' room to make sure the were still breathing...that agonizing moment that you're not sure, then relief that they're ok.
Is that your baby in the avatar? If it is, he's precious! Is he rolling over yet? It's such a sweet time when everything is a source of amazement for them!

Thanks! He's been rolling over for some time. He's trying to catch up to his older brother :) It is such a sweet time, and too short. If time, money, and physical health weren't obstacles, I'd have ten more.

the greatest pleasure is loving other people and receiving their love. The greatest pain would have to be losing a child. My twins are 20, a boy and a girl. Losing either child would devestate me. My son, a Marine, will be in Iraq next month. Please keep him in your thoughts.
