update on fat Berlin cat

Well, as the story of Mikesch was posted several times here, I thought an update might be appreciated.
Mikesch got fed 2kg (about 4.4 lbs) Schabefleisch per day, by his previous owner.
Schabefleisch is a very high grade of minced beef, with no fat, tendons or other icky parts. It is not unusual (for humans that is) to eat it raw, just with spices and onions.
Anyway, even two weeks after ending up in a local pet shelter Mikesch lost two kg (4.4 lbs) of his impressive weight.
He still denies to eat anything except his Schabefleisch, but has to manage with 150 grammes, or less than 1/2 lbs per day. According to the shelter staff he has started moving on his own again, even doing small jumps.

The whole media riot about him apparently did him some good: people willing to care for Mikesch are applying from almost all continents; even the Saudi royal family is on the list.
