The one issue nearest and dearest to my heart

Title IX,

"No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance."

Now the question is, has it done it's job in the 30+ years that it has been in effect? Or is it has it had the reverse effect of what is intended?

I am curious to hear comments from others. In life everyone I know feels one way about it, and I am curious how those in DU land feel.
