Happy Arbor Day everyone!
Go and give thanks and appreciation to a tree today. Let them know that their work and existence is appreciated and needed and that you like them.

MATCOM, since you're doing yardwork I hope you'll plant a tree as well! Or at least say nice things to the trees you have.

Long live Gaia and the ecosystem!

2. Sure they count!
Why not? Especially since one can plant only just so many trees in one's yard.

Too bad you aren't getting a truck load of Bushes, since that would mean you're cleaning out the white house and Maine, but oh well. :-)

have fun planting!

4. Thanks for the reminder
I had friends, long ago, who really took Arbor Day seriously. They were The Who fans and composed an entire rock opera devoted to this neglected holiday. This brings back great memories. Their hero was a little evergreen tree who I suggested had perfect pitch, LOL!:D

5. So if an evergreen tree with perfect pitch sings in the forest . . .
sounds like an interesting opera!

I'm sure our Idiot In Cheif Fake President is out and about today tootin' how "Trees cause forest fires".

6. The hero was something like "Arbo, the snubbed-nosed
Arbor Tree." I thought it was very clever, at the time, and they really appreciated my suggestion that he had perfect pitch.

As for our unelected squatter-in-chief, his environmental record is so poor, it is amazing that we have any trees left in this country.:grr:
