Clams, I have no idea. How freakin' unhappy can a clam get? You don't have many decisions to make, don't have much you need to do in the course of a day. Its not like the wife is nagging you to take a walk, cut the grass, or empty the trash. The boss isn't on your back all day. Your job? Sit around and grow.

You do bring up one point, though, which would be worse, to be a clam and be breaded, or, to be ultimately used as clam sauce.
