I'm from U.S., so

Mine: Canada, Japan, Korea Republic, Italy, France, United Kingdom, Venezuela and a smattering of Caribbean nations.

Favorite? Land of the cheese-eating surrender monkeys, France. ;)

Mine, North to South: Canada, Texas, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Equador, Peru, Chile. And I'll also count Puerto Rico, although it is not yet independent of the U.S.

If I have to have a favorite, I'll pick the France of the Americas: Mexico.

51. I unfortunately was only in France for a week, Mlle Boppin
I was in Paris for four days and Dijon for three.

I could go on and on about why I liked it there. Regarding culture, I just thought the people were incredibly friendly (in fact the only rude French I encountered were waiters, and I'm SURE they are rude to everyone), very laid-back and quite patient with me. They didn't try to speak English to me immediately when I was speaking French to them...they would correct me, but converse with me in French (unlike Korea, where my Korean was ignored almost instantaneously...but the Koreans are unbelievable friendly...OK I'm rambling).

I also liked France because it was incredibly clean, the countryside is BEAUTIFUL, and the food is simply freaking amazing...even better than Italy's, IMO. And Paris to me is simply the best city in the world. First-class clean public transport...but I didn't use it as I walked almost everywhere.

How long were you there?

with a French family in La Rochelle, on the Atlantic coast. I did get to see Normandy and Paris, too. I hiked the cliffs over the beaches of Normandy which was very moving. Paris is a lot of fun! Maybe we should meet there :) :) What do you think about tomorrow? I'll charter my private jet, you charter yours. Cocktails at 10?

65. Ah, that I could, Mlle Boppin.
I am trapped in a hotel currently, waiting out an intermission of a marathon wedding. Tomorrow works, though. I have taken the liberty of making reservations at Tour d'Argent. May have to push cocktails up to 9.
But I need to ask a favor. Can you pick me up in your jet? I lent mine to my manservant for the weekend as I thought I would be in the city. Standish is a hard worker, and he deserved the weekend off to visit relatives in Cornwall.

Sure, I'll pick you up in my jet. I'll try not to fly by the Hancock Tower, lest I get shot down. We can have cocktails aboard, that way we'll be sure to get really plastered.:)

BTW, Just let me know when the punny stuff gets unbearable.

'Cause then I'll bring it on even heavier. }(

35. Well, I set foot in Iceland...
...but I've actually lived in Germany. To be specific, I lived in the Federal Republic of Germany. In Franconia, no less.

I traveled to what was then the German Democratic Republic.

Other places I've visited:

Canada (just Ontario)
England
Scotland
Wales
Ireland (but not Northern Ireland...yet)
Belgium
Holland
Sweden
Denmark
Austria

To my shame, I never properly visited France, just passed through on my way to other places. The same is true for Luxembourg, though I did take a stroll before leaving from the train station. The siren song of the Eurail Pass was urging me on to other places.

England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales and Canada. In the U.S., I've been to 31 out of the 50 states as well.

My favorite city is Toronto, with Edinburgh as second; my least favorite? I probably didn't see enough of it to get a true judgment, but I didn't care for Glasgow. It was too dark, I think, and I really preferred Edinburgh for being a lighter, brighter city.

Canada, Mexico, Trinidad & Tobago, Panama, England, Netherlands, Kenya, can't think of anything else right now. Europe is too dark to be a favorite but maybe it's because I was always there in winter. If I had to pick a favorite, it would be a tough choice between Mexico, T&T, and Panama. I guess I'll give the nod to Mexico, for some reason, I felt immediately at home in the Veracruz state even though my command of the language is execrable.

59. Just a few
England, Scotland, Ireland, France, Mexico, Barbados, Puerto Rico, Bahamas, Virgin Islands. There might be some more, but I can't think of them now. But my favorite is Scotland. The people are very tolerant of Americans and the scenery is beautiful.

63. England, France, Italy, Thailand, Japan, Mexico.
I loved all of them, but Thailand, England, and France top the list.

Italy reminded me too much of my relatives! :)

64. Canada. I would have to say I always enjoy myself. We are about
10 miles away across the bridge from Windsor...and it's a wonderful town. :hi:
