I知 quitting smoking today.
Wish me luck. I知 going to need it. :smoke:

I don't think I'll be able to watch cable news for the next two weeks, I don't think I'll be able to take it and my TV will go out the window. :argh:

1. Good Luck!
I quit a few years ago. The first few weeks are the worst, and then it gets progressively better after that. Don't beat yourself up!

6. Congratulations!
I quit March 15th. I was smoking heavily, working at home, sitting in front of a computer.

The water is extremely important. I also got some good, free advise at quitnet.com. I used patches for the first month and have some handy, still, just in case I need them. I joined Curves. I suck on a lot of peppermint and chew a lot of sugar free gum, but am slowing down now. I also take $25 cash and stash it every five days so I can actually see how much money I have saved. I figured that was the amount I was spending on cigarettes. And I am so grateful.

Everyone who has successfully quit had their own story and it's what ever works for you.

Governor Goodhair is talking about raising our State taxes on cigarettes $1 a pack.

Good luck. And anytime you need support, don't hesitate to pm me. I'm sure I could use some, too. I still miss the stupid things.

You have the power!

7. Since this past Christmas day for me!
I was so sick for 13 days on my Christmas vacation I couldn't smoke, so I just said, screw it and I haven't even craved one. I think the fact I lost some weight being sick didn't piss me off when I gained it back from quitting. Hang in there, you're body will feel right after 3 months, honestly. I'm behind you 100%.

8. Good Luck!
You can do it! It's all about the first 72 hours to purge the nicotine out of your system, afterwards, it's all mind over matter! YOU CAN DO IT!

10. Good luck, and watch for triggers.
If you used to smoke a lot while watching TV, it just might be best if you avoided TV for a couple of weeks. Seriously.

Not that that wouldn't be a good thing for most of us!
