16. Spinach! Yes try this... |
|
Romano Spinach Roll-ups.
Take a flour tortillas with a layer of Mexican cheese mix or Co-Jack cheese (Colby and Monterey Jack mix) micro waved then flatten a layer of fresh baby spinach onto the still hot cheese covered tortilla. Then sprinkle grated Romano Cheese and roll.
Low fat cheese, no-fat tortillas and organic spinach in combination if you desire...

For some reason the Spinach taste is not only masked but complemented in a very unique way by Romano and the other cheese. I won't say you'll love it but it certainly is palatable to some otherwise adverse to Popeye's energizer.

pancakes for me (they don't want them). My family also prefers cheap thick syrup, I prefer real maple syrup.
And coffee.

exactly what this breakfast food is. A lady from North Carolina mentioned it yesterday briefly and I didn't hear precisely what it was. Does not sound like anything fit for humans.

21. Also known as Liver Pudding |
|
Edited on Sun May-02-04 11:26 AM by supernova
It is a mixture of livers, pork and beef, spices and cornmeal, cooked in a loaf. Sort of a poor man's paté.
It's delicious. Go to the sausage and bacon section of the grocery store and look for "Neece's Liver Pudding." :9
edit: This is the only way I can stand to eat liver. Other than paté and liver pudding, I never touch liver with a 10 ft pole. :P

I have been eating these for breakfast, and whenever I am craving sweets as part of a weight loss plan. So far I have lost ten pounds in the last couple of months without feeling deprived.

I had scrambled eggs seasoned with tarragon and lemon pepper. Then I topped the toast, upon which I usually put the eggs, with strawberry jelly.

smoked chicken breasts.
smoked boneless pork chops.
smoked roast.
grilled hamburger patties.
pinto beans with ham that have been cooking in the crockpot overnight.
We went on a big cooking spree last night and fired up the barbecue pit. I won't have to cook at all this coming week. Now I just need to decide what I'm hungry for.

If the coals are hot, why the hell not throw a couple split broilers out there ? They will be okay tomorrow in the micro.

especially during the summer when using the oven heats up the whole kitchen.
I can put the hamburgers in the freezer and it's easy to throw one or two in the microwave to heat them up.
I can also slice the roast, put enough for individual meals in a freezer bag and then heat it up in the microwave.
Actually I can freeze all of it in individual meals. Some of it I don't put in the microwave to heat up since it would end up cooking it too much. For the chicken and the pork I'll make up a barbecue sauce and heat those up in the sauce.
I love having a freezer!
