Does anyone know of a cure for a plantars wart ? |
|
It is on the ball of my left foot. I have had it burned, cut, laser'd, and acid eaten away. I cannot get rid of it. I've had it since 1974. I have to trim the core out of it every 3 or 4 day or it is painful to walk on. Anybody know a cure ?

1. Duct Tape, believe it or not. Recent study showed that it is a |
|
very good way to kill the virus that causes plantar's wart.
My brother's a podiatrist, he laughed and said he'd have to stock up on duct tape since his plantar's wart business might be dropping off.
Seriously, though. Check on this, either Internet or with your podiatrist. The method is to cut a piece to cover the wart and apply it. Keep a piece of tape on it for something like a month or two.
One of the problems if you've had surgery is that there may be scar tissue and that can be painful and cause callus type material to form in the area.

I had 3 on my foot in high school, and my doc used liquid nitrogen to burn them off. They never came back.

3. It was burned off in a Doc's office after a shot of zylocaine in the |
|
middle of it and then poked many times with a hot pointed prong. It stunk so bad my x-wife smelled it in the waiting room. The prong cooked the skin and it stuck to it and he had to hold down my foot to get the prong off it again. Gross. The guy gives me a Darvocet and says it may be a little painful after the zylocaine wears off. No shit !

4. My son just had the liquid nitrogen treatment for a plantar's |
|
wart yesterday. The nurse told him to expect that it would take about a month to die and that he could also use over the counter medicine. She said she has had 100% success with the treatment.
I'll let you know in a month.:-)

Oh the pain was breathtaking for a week or two (and since my 3 warts were spread around the foot - one on the ball, one under my little toe, and one on the heel - there was absolutely no way I could walk without stepping on one of them) but they all cleared up and left no scars whatsoever. Not that scarring on the bottom of your foot is a big deal, but today I don't remember which foot it was, and I can't tell by looking at them.
Check into it!

11. You must have gotten a heavy treatment, my son is 13 and |
|
had very little pain - in fact he played in his baseball game last night. Of course he does play ice hockey so maybe his feet are already partially numb. :)

8. A good friend of mine had them |
|
all over the bottom of both feet. It took her over a year to get rid of them. The duct tape helped but finally the Doc gave her some new pills that had just come out for plantars. Ask your doc about that. Good luck!

... that green pod-like plant growing along some country roads. Pick a leaf or two and spread the milky sap on the wart. Repeat several times daily (for a few weeks or more) until the wart is gone — without a scar!
It has worked every time on "regular" warts for different people. (Not sure of a difference in Plantars warts.)
