70. Second that...
Thier latest album is a powerhouse of great lyrics and talented playing. Easily the best band I've heard from Canada.

Are they as cynical in real life as they come across on thier albums?

But I still consider them Canadian.

Second place goes to BLUE RODEO, whom I've seen a few times.

Was about to post Sloan, but thought if somebody else did, I'd just drop one in the chain. We're going to see them in Cincinnati in a couple of weeks.

But I was really wondering where Max Webster and/or Kim Mitchell were. He's about as Canadian as it gets.

Oh, and the Rheostatics. They're Mr. Nownow's favorite, actually -- I like 'em okay, but prefer the THip for bizarre stories about dead hockey stars.

32. "Lunatic Fringe, I know your out there...."
Damn, great song, still current....and that was a Canadian band, huh?

Lunatic Fringe
I know you're out there
You're in hiding
And you hold your meetings
We can hear you coming
We know what you're after
We're wise to you this time
We won't let you kill the laughter

Lunatic Fringe
In the twilight's last gleaming
This is open season
But you won't get too far
We know you've got to blame someone
For your own confusion
But we're on guard this time
Against your final solution

We can hear you coming
(We can hear you coming)
No you're not going to win this time
We can hear the footsteps
(We can hear the footsteps)
Way out along the walkway
Lunatic Fringe
We know you're out there
But in these new dark ages
There will still be light

An eye for an eye
Well, before you go under
Can you feel the resistance
Can you feel the....thunder

80. Hmm...
Rush: Good band, I just personally hate their music.

The Guess Who: One of the worst bands ever.

BTO: The poor man's The Guess Who

BNL: Good band. Too clever by half.

CTD: A guilty pleasure of mine. I used to love this band.

Voted: BNL.

Honorable mention: Non-band Joni Mitchell who is not only Canadian, but God.
