You'll die out here with those clothes. It was 88 degrees at night yesturday. I recommend you wear a white shirt and some shorts, maybe some sun glasses. :D

6. The forecast is for about 100° all week... |
|
but it's a dry heat. (That's a local inside joke.) With the low humidity, it will probably feel more like a Boston 90°. So definitely pack some shorts and sandals.
What part of town will you be staying in?

I lived in the Phoenix area for about a year, between 1993-94, and I still have this coffee mug..... "But It's A Dry Heat", with a picture of a weathered skull and some other various desert imagery, pretty funny :-)
I also used to be amazed at the "desert rain" out there, the few times it did rain, it RAINED.....

Not unusual to get 2 inches in 24 hours.
Love the mug....

8. Make sure to get thermal packet inserts for your gloves |
|
All that standing around in the cold without much activity might make even the most luxuriously gloved fingers get a little stiff.
Also consider packing an avalanche beacon, because you just never know.

9. By all means yes! Don't let these mean people tell you it's hot |
|
Make sure to bring your fur thong so that your nuggets don't contract into your abdomen. Bring only sweatshirts and wool pants to wear. Make sure to bring your long underwear...the warmest stuff you've got and wear it all on the plane.....pack heavy..you are going to freeze.
