1. weekends are too short....

:-(

Sometimes it's good to take a sick day off, if you can afford it -- then just have a "comfort" day at home and enjoy some quiet time.

3. I don't have time to get depressed on Sunday nights.
I work six days a week, host a college radio show on Saturday nights, and spend a goodly portion of Sunday catching up on my sleep!

4. One of the local TV stations did a report on
Sunday night insomnia...I DEFINITELY have it. I don't hate my job but I like my freedom even more. On the weekends I don't have to worry about time. Even when I go to services on Saturday it doesn't matter, for the most part, when I get there because they go until noon.

7. I've always hated Sunday nights
There's just an air about them; I don't know what it is. I've always loved school and haven't minded most of the jobs I've had. I think I just enjoy my free time way too much!

19. Yep, me too.
I also work weekends and Mondays aren't terribly fierce as a result. I should point out, however, that I really do love the work I do. So maybe that filters my perspective even further.

10. My cure for depression has been for some time...
...to keep busy!

Work isn't that bad to me though. I get to wear shorts and hawaiian shirts all the time! Not bad for an office job.

12. Sunday evenings have me bummed out.
Even as a child. I can't sleep on Sunday nights because I never want to let go of the weekend. Monday mornings are double-bad when you're sleep-deprived.

Dang, it's Sunday night. Sigh. aljones, you are certainly not alone.

13. I used to get that all the time too
However, I have flex days now (every other Monday off) and that makes for a weekend that is less stressful.

14. Mine has gotten a bit better over the years
Edited on Sun May-16-04 07:24 PM by latebloomer
I used to have it pretty bad.

I also have Monday blues, though those have also improved somewhat with age.

Strange, but I had it even when I wasn't working, but when husband and children were going to work and school.

In my case, it might have something to do with separation anxiety, as well as the end of the blissfully unstructured weekend.

Dad told me it took him a couple of years after retirement to stop stressing on Sunday nights.

18. Yep
All for these reasons:

-School tomorrow (which means waking up early)
-Not being able to get to sleep fast (due to staying up all night Saturday and sleeping in)
-Procrastination until Sunday night means loads of Geometry and science homework
-I can't stay up late (or my mom'll kill me)
-I have to make my hair all nice for a new week of school (so says the mother) instead of just washing it and letting it dry
-No one is online because they're all doing their homework

25. Yea, I've had it off and on most of my life and now it's pretty bad
because of a broken relationship. I try to take care of myself by either being with close friends or renting a movie. I'll go to the video store sometime soon tonight.

26. My wife often gets this -
I do too when I'm unfortunate enough to have a job that requires me at the office Monday morning. I used to have it on Saturdays when the work week started on Sunday. Terrible insomnia...

The weekend is too short. By the time we do what we HAVE to do, it's Sunday night.

Take a deep breath, relax, and indulge yourself in some way that won't make you feel bad tomorrow. A hot bath, or perhaps an hour or two spent really _listening_ to some of your favorite music.

Hope this helps. This problem is way too common. We all have it sometimes.

29. Creeps up on me on Sunday afternoons...
By Sunday night, it's usually passed.

Also, I often work from home on Thursdays, so that breaks up the weeks a bit.

I enjoy my work and my colleagues are terrific, but I've always preferred to be on my own time.
