Our strawberries just exploded over the last couple of days, we'll be overrun with ripe berries for the next month, especially now since it rained heavy this morning. So, yesterday I made a huge pie, it's pretty simple
One baked pie shell: one cup water one cup sugar two tbls corn starch two tbls strawberry jello enough berries to fill the shell
Combine water, sugar, cornstarch cook over medium heat until thick and clear, add jello, stir let cool for about five minutes. Fill baked shell with berries, pour sauce over berries and let chill preferably overnight, but four hours will do if you can't wait any longer. Top with whipped cream and pig out.

3. Maybe I have a bowl of fresh strawberries, please? |
|
I'm abstaining from pies (and cakes and such), but would kill for some lovely fresh strawberries.

10. We'll have to get some rhubarb |
|
and do that. We've got to fight with the garter snakes they love to eat them also. I was picking, moved a leaf and ran smack into one, gartersnakes are harmless, but I snatched my hand back real quick.
