DUers, need help finding not too expensive airfare to Osaka this fall... |

either in mid Septemebr to early Ocotber....I KNOW there wilbe better prices than the $1,000 I've seen so far on American, UL, and the pther ar carriers...

Have you looked at All Nippon Air or Korean Air? They have cheaper flights, but a rise in oil prices and end of summer fare prices may mean $1000 is the best you can do...

Ok, travelocity's got 845 out of Washington, 885 out of Boston... need more details!

go way down in the fall, especially after all the exchange students have made their trans-Pacific journeys.
Summer is definitely the most expensive time to go, and if you do a fare search at this time of year, the airlines are hoping that you don't know that the fares go down in the fall. :-)
If there's a Japanese community in your area, try to find out what travel agencies they use. Those agencies can often get really good deals by putting in standing orders for a certain number of seats per week, but they don't advertise widely.
