How long can you go without posting/talking/thinking about Freepers

I swore today I wasn't gonna do/say/emote anything about Freepers, but they crept into a post anyway.

I know I'm obsessed but I've managed to stay off their site for over a week, I've managed not to talk about them in mixed company (given I'm here in Canada most people would just go :wtf:) or post about them on non-political boards (I know, find one these days what with two elections going on).

I'll probably never give up completely, but I think I'm making progress.

1. I visited their vile site today for the first time in a week

As usual it put me in a foul mood...but I am a fan of the saying know your enemy

Those insidious individuals are indeed the enemy of a free democracy.

They are like a CC American taliban IMO.

because every 10th post here refers to them in some manner, in content or comments.

I am surprised that they can even follow their own threads from day to day.

I am a lurker over there all the time. They amuse me to no end.

But am often lead astray sometimes by others who post their threads that I click on and look at.

(I take full responsibility for this, no one makes me click on their links occasionally)

Sometimes you just have to look the Nazis straight and see them and listen to them, unpleassant as it may be.

But I never troll their site and read or post myself. I'll leave that to the people who want to do that sort of thing.

So, if people stopped talking about them and posting their links, I doubt I would miss it or rush over to see what the Brownshirts are up to.

Yep. Months is about right. Call me an atypical DUer, but I think MANY DUers feel the same way and wouldn't miss it if people stopped sharing the latest nazi thing the Freepers had to say...
