That is, I thought Diana's first song was better than Fantasia's first song. But Fantasia beat Diana on the second and third. I don't vote on these things, but if I did, I would vote for Fantasia. Even though I think it would be cool to have back-to-back Bama winners. (Diana lives in GA but was born in AL)

The crop of singers this year has been lame.

Diana can actually sing--missed the song where she supposedly blew it, but still hope she wins. Nice when someone is on-key once in a while.

Not one to jump on the Fantasia bandwagon, I personally feel they are going a **little** bit overboard on the praise. Diana was awesome one week where Fantasia was not, and this week it seems to be the other way around. Both have fan bases. Diana to me has the much better voice.

But it's still who gets the most votes..... :D

The judges want Mariah's and all that crap, btu when someone different comes along, they do well in the competition. Goes to show you there's a market for that kind of singing, but the judges and the music indsutry are determined to make us listen to everything that sounds the same, and everyone who sounds the same.

Is that he was different.

He had something unique.

American Idol is a crappy formatted show because it makes people sing different styles.

Which is dumb because whoever wins will just be singing in one style, not 15 different ones.

An album of crooning songs by John Stevens would outsell any album that Fantasia or Latoya London or Diana would make.

Everyone on the show this year was a cookie-cutter, bland, boring, smiling vapid piece of nothing.

John Stevens was fun to watch and when he did his style of music, did it better than anyone else.

I would buy his album, and I can't say the same for anyone else.

That last song was pretty damned impressive and you could FEEL that she was trying to tell people (but not in a begging way) how much she really wants to win.

I do think that both of them will do very well. Diana was on Today this morning saying (but not an excuse) that her earpiece went out on the last song and she couldn't hear the music being fed to her, that is why she moved around the stage a bit-she was trying to get the link working again.
