I need help naming my Lingerie Shop |
|
I will be selling classy upscale Lingerie over the Internet until I can come up with the funds to open up a small boutique on my own.
I had a business partner that I was going to open this up with but I haven't heard from her in several days so I am going to assume that she has backed out.
I need suggestions on a good name for my business.

4. Undercover? Undercover Angel? |
|
Might need to check on the rights to that latter one.
Hmmm...that the name should emanate class has me at a disadvantage.
Sweet Nothings? Sweet Somethings? Silk Road? Teddy Bare? (well, okay...class...think class) Aphrodite's Underwear Drawer? Mons Venus?
Are these all clichéd?
Good luck with the business!

Just thought of another one: Tidbits. :-)
Of course, the alternate acceptable spelling replaces the 'd' with a 't,' but I think that'd be a little crass for your purposes.

Lucy's of Beverly Hills wouldn't be bad, though.
Unless she isn't from Beverly Hills, and then it doesn't work at all.

32. I get paid big dough to name stuff |
|
(that is, when I'm working)
But here's an idea:
Take a pretty, upscale woman's name that ends in "a" like Jessica, Pamela, Samantha, Laura, Olivia (note: don't use Victoria)
Add a classic, simple, WASPY surname like Miller, Hunter, Reed - you get the idea.
Then add Lingerie.
Jessica Reed Lingerie Pamela Hunter Lingerie Samantha Miller Lingerie
It will evoke Victoria's Secret and Laura Ashley and similar classy stuff.
Thongs 'n Things works too. :P

I want a good quality product so that people will like what they buy and it will last them a long time. It doesn't matter about the age of the clientele as long as they are not kids.
Possibly fitted corsets with a choice of fabric.
I am not sure about what town I want it in right now but I know that I am going to create a web store and sell on eBay.
I will keep all of you informed about how well it is going.

will you be selling new items, "vintage" pieces, or resale of lines like Lejaby, La Perla, etc.?
Story on NPR's "As it Happens" (or something like that, the one out of Canada with Mary Lou Finley and Barbara Budd) last night about Victoria's SEcret, Saks, Macy's, etc., getting caught re-selling returned undies. NYC has got its panties in a twist about it and is going to pass a law saying no returned undies can be resold... DUH! But always a good disclaimer! ;-)

I'd just call it something like Silk, myself. Being a silk lingerie fetishist and all. Nothing embarrassing; you don't want people feeling constrained to hide your logo shopping bags!
The best lingerie shop here in Seattle is called simply by the owner's name, Nancy Meyer Lingerie.
