Poll question: Would you take a bullet for someone?
I was watching a movie, and one of the actors took a bullet for his buddy. That's why I'm asking this question.

So...would you take a bullet for someone, no matter what his/her political affiliation/religion/language/etc is?

I don't have any hypothetical situations. This question is just in general.

Please, honest answers only.

10. Interesting, but probably yes

as long as it was going to be fatal and it meant that someone else was really spared.

For example in a hostage situation the bad guys are going to kill a hostage if their demands are not met by a time certain.

Assuming they allowed volunteers or there was a way to trade places with the person they pick, sure moof would gladly go first.

On edit, sorry meant to reply to the main post.

3. I think it's less about heroics and more an automatic response
If you love someone, then you want to protect them, and that is your first thought. . .

4. Yes, that is very true.

I didn't base the question around split-second decisions. I based it around to where you have at least five seconds to think about what you would do.

But I do agree with you on what you said.

11. Well, five seconds is enough time for me to to think

That jerk is going to shoot my mom! --and dive in front of her, though my first effort would be getting the two of us the hell out of there! :scared:

Of course, we all like to think we'd be so brave, right? Sometimes "freezing up" or "pissing oneself" is as natural a response as bravery, I do fear.

And it all depends on whether my actions would actually be saving someone.

8. Anywhere.
How can I be specific if someone is going to get shot? They could get shot in the chest, back, head, neck, leg, arm, foot...wherever.

It doesn't matter where they get shot.
