The Bus is unwrapped, the first shipment of invitations is out (have YOU gotten one?), and the kegs of beer are paid for. The yard is being cleaned up and everything is being made ready for YOU -- our honored guests!!
Anybody who wants to come to the party still has time to let me know.
Those DUers on the more-or-less confirmed list include MSchreader, davsand, Mrs Grumpy and, just maybe, Tahiti Nut. All the rest of you Michiganians who are on the fence, jump on this thread and ask me any questions you might have. Those who are coming == now's the time to let everybody know.
EVERYONE IS INVITED!! I'm looking forward to seeing all of you. This is a great chance to meet some DUers AND Andy the Right Wing Republican. Plus, Carl the Nice Normal Republican (he of the FAST LANE Drive-Thru, 1200 State Street in Saginaw -- the official beer, wine and rolling paper supplier to FUNDAY since 1995) will be doing ALL the barbecue (and he does great BBQ).
Did I mention the FREE BEER and food (really great food)? All you got to do is get here! Who's coming? Who needs a ride? Who needs free overnight accomodations?

Well, you know -- it IS Memorial Day weekend and an awful lot of DUers aren't near their computers just now (Polly and I, to name two, are out this morning cleaning The Bus, which has been in storage for five years).
Then, we start on the yard. Then, we clean (really clean) the house up. If we get all that done in time, and Carl the Republican remembers the beer (he will -- he always does) everyone who shows up will tell us what a wonderful party it is. The food's free, too -- or have I already mentioned that?
Don't mind me -- I'm just talking to myself, mostly because no one else is.

4. I'm working on a car full!

So far, I've been told that "riding in the car with this guy will offer a contact high" and I LMAO over the idea.... This poor puppy has NO idea who he's saying that to ;)

Anyhow, we are still sorting it out on Kev. His conference will end in time for him to fly in, but now we are trying to sort out the whole plane fare thing. (WHY does it cost more for a ONE way ticket than round trip?) :shrug:

Now, I also have the added "bonus" of a job offer that is "demanding" I start on the 14th. I go a freaking YEAR with nothing and now THIS happens! WTF is THAT?

Anyhow, we are still working on it!

It seems to be cheaper to fly into Flint than Tri-City (MBS) Airport. You make the flight arrangements and we'll arrange for the pickup. MBS is ten miles, Flint (Bishop) about 30.
