I'm trying to organize my music in Itunes, particularly the genre category. As of now I'm manually doing it for each individual entry.

Does anyone know if there is a way to "copy all" or drag down an entire album so that it copies the same thing to all entries either for an album or for a particular artist.

For instance if I wanted to tag all of my Beatles songs with the same genre, do I have to go through all of them individually and enter it or is there a way to either drag or make all of them list the same genre?

1. I think if you have several songs selected...

...and you choose 'Get Info' from the File menu, you can change various MP3 tags in the Info tab, and have that change affect all the tracks selected.

At least I think it does that. If it doesn't, it should.

2. smart playlist

You can set up a "smart playlist" from th edit menu that will allow you to choose your own playlist that will automatically update for you. You can choose everything by an artist or genre as well as some other options.
