The Tide has turned against Bush
It is starting to feel like critical mass is being reached.

Today I heard on the radio a religious based talk show a preacher speaking out against Bush and his policies in Iraq. He was quoting from the Bible. His reasoning was Bush’s greed for the oil fields was counter to the preaching’s of Jesus. It was well presented and quite compelling.

Also this afternoon I heard Michael Savage denouncing bush and his failed policies. Stating how could this bunch in the white house lead us down this path towards self destruction.

It is starting to erupt and not likely to calm down here in No. California

All the more reason this desperate bunch may allow Al Quiada to perform another mission

2. Well, it's about time.
It would have been nice if more radio preachers had noticed how un-Christian it is to start wars before we invaded Iraq, but better late than never, I suppose.

3. Expect a coup.
Bush will never release his hold on power voluntarily. I expect a naked power grab.

8. Not quite.
He was able to use the closeness of the Florida election and his pet Supreme Court to dress the coup in the robes of a political victory. This time he will have to be actually naked about it.

4. True Christian!
Reminds me of the teachings of the Jesus I've always known.

He Sees the Light.

Amen!

9. I think we'll start to see Republicans abandoning him
It'll take a few key desertions to give the others cover but it'll happen. The failures of this administration are so numerous, so reprehensible and so freakin' obvious that pragmatic politicos will have to give it up well before November.
I wouldn't worry about coups or martial law. Even the Republicans have got to realize that the very future of the nation is endangered by these guys. The threat of their ineptitude is beyond politics.

10. I'm not so sure about that.
He still has far too much support, and too many people are just refusing to see him for who and what he really is. I wouldn't put it past him to concoct an "October surprise", though, and I wouldn't at all be surprised to see them cancelling or postponing the election for "national security" reasons. They aren't going to give up power unless they're forced to, they have no respect at all for the will of the people; indeed, they're completely disdainful and contemptuous of it.

I wonder how many people realize that Shrub actually said, in late December of 2000, that "things would be so much easier if this were a dictatorship, with me as the dictator!" Can you imagine the uproar if a Dem had said something like that?

11. The Religion based radio broadcast I heard
Was a syndicated show with callers calling in from all over the country.

This one preacher's comparison of Bush's policies in Iraq and the world's view of our stealing Iraq's oil to the greed Jesus preached against was very compelling. It painted a picture of a sinner referring to Bush.

I believe that is a clear signal parts of his Fundie base are jumping ship. If this starts to spread among the rest of the fundies then bush would only be left with the Neocons and the radical right wing fringe
