they scoop up those scary spiders every time - especially my Calvin, he can't get enough of them - perhaps, that's why I don't see many. :-)
They still freak me out. :scared:

I once spent a night in a hotel after a big one got away from me. I just knew it was going to end up in my bed that night.

We had an above ground spa with wooden sides and a sliding door so it could be serviced. I opened it once, and the space between the wood frame and the fiberglass spa was teeming with giant black widows. I nearly puked.

It's a childhood thing. Got attacked by a bunch of wasps when I was 5. Sometimes when I see one I freeze in my tracks.

I just hate the look of a paper wasp nest. When I grew up in KS, we had huge ones everywhere. Ugh!

10. I have a deal with spiders: if they stay outside, they can live. |
|
If they come in my house, and exceed what I consider acceptable size, they die a speedy death -- I beat the shit out of them with a broom.
Spiders have a right to exist but so do Republicans and I don't let them in my house, either.

12. Well, there are TONS in this cabin |
|
No matter how clean we keep it, the high ceiling and lack of someone always being here lets them breed. My friends and I killed 14 one night. Lucky for me though, it's at 6,500 feeet so the altitude keeps em really small (I figure).

He'll run screaming to the other side of the house until I give him the "all clear."
Sometimes, I don't know how he ever managed as a bachelor.

a terrible fear of spiders until I found a mouse in my basement...For some reason ever sinc, spiders don't scare me. I still don't like 'em though. All the little ones don't scare me, and I can finally take a napkin and pick them up and dispense of them somehow.
However, I've had the luck of never encountering a really big spider. Thank God. I'd probly freak out.

I like spiders, they're kings of the insect world - even though they're not insects.
Bees and other flying, stinging insects freak me out though.
