2. I'm afraid that an epidural does involve a needle, friend, |
|
at least at first. After that you can't feel much at all and laugh a lot. At least I did.

is afraid. I don't think "he" has given birth too often.

I heard the woman screaming the next suite ( better soundproofing woul have been good) and said yup, Doc, give me an epidural. So much for the vanilla candle and bird songs. Just me. I spent several hours raving about how everyone should take drugs. Anyway.

6. My sister in-law was telling everyone she wanted an epidural |
|
on her way into the hospital - the janitor, the secretary, anyone who would listen. It was baby #3 and she had had one kid with an epidural and one without. When they finally got her into a room and checked her, she was too far gone - no epidural. She was soo pissed.

7. a close freind of mine had the same experience |
|
she badly wanted the epidural, but she was too fast. They referred to her as "speedy." Looking back, I wonder if my labor would have been shorter, though, and less complicated if I hadn't had the epidural. My son didn't want to come out and they had to go after him with the "salad tongs!"

I was so medicated I couldn't feel a thing. Hubby didn't care for the view as I recall.
sorry didn't mean to freak you out. Birth humor.

Apparently if you look close enough, you can still see the dent it left, even though I'm 19! Still smart as hell tho. :P

When I was in labor, they had to pump me so full of pitocin, and she still wouldn't come! I think I would have had a C-section if they had not given me an epidural. Man, she was stubborn!

Baby's heartrate dropped and they wanted him out fast. They were doing a forcep delivery. After the spinal, they kept saying "push" and I kept saying "make me!"
