5. Here's a weird thing...

There was this girl, who I'll call Petya since that was her name, and she was a friend of a friend whom I hung out with. The friend was the girlfriend of a lead singer in a band, and we all would follow him around to different clubs.

Petya and I always ended up spending a lot of time together, talking, dancing, and such. We had a lot in common but were from different countries, and since I've always been a "relationship" type of guy didn't really look at her as dating material since she'd let it be known she was going back to her home country at some point, and I had no desire to live there myself.

We were sitting at a table one night, and she started rubbing her hand up my thigh. I put my arm around her back and lightly stroked her arm and neck. We danced, to a slow song, and she pressed herself against me, kissed my neck...stuff like that...very intimate dance. We sat down again, and she snuggled ... more of her hand against my thigh stroking up and down, getting me, well, ya know. But nothing happened because I didn't follow-up right then.

The next day I was talking to her and asked if she'd like to go out sometime, just us. "No, I don't think so." "Huh?" "I don't think of you like that." "Huh?" "We're just friends." :wtf:

No, the conversation didn't really go like that, but that's what it all boiled down to. A couple years later we were still acquainted and involved in separate relationships, so I worked up the courage to ask her what all that was about. She was rather blunt. She was "in the mood" that one moment that one night and wasn't wanting anything more. The word "date" the next day turned her off; she was just wanting sex.

I have no idea how or if this relates to your question, but it's what came to mind.
