Good Morning DU!
How is everyone this morning? I'm much better than yesterday! Did this pilates/yoga/aerobics tape for about 45 minutes last night. Yeah, my body isn't too happy with me. So all you runners/joggers/walkers and people that have to suffer being up so early - check in!

4. Hey babe,
I'm feeling chirpy today. I got a reply from the girl I'm chasing, she'd been out the office all day. I'm going on my first date next week, just for lunch.

It's weird I've never been on a first date before - I've always ended up with going out with girls after drunken sex or something. Then doing the dating thing...

the less fun you're going to allow yourself to have. Think of it this way - this one date won't decide your fate. Have a good conversation and keep her interested. Just be yourself and don't have any expectations. Trust me, your personality is addictive, and she'll want the high.

40. Ugh.
He has a field op with the British for 21 days. I was supposed to go see him the 17th but I'm not sure if he's going to be back by then. He has rank above people (plus he had to work this weekend when he was supposed to have a 4 day leave) so he's hoping that will help him be out by then, but things are up in the air. I never realized how much of a test this whole thing would be.

But yeah, sorry, I'm sure you didn't want to hear all that.

6. Good morning, All.
Blondie, always found exercise to be one of the greatest stress relievers, but no "runners/joggers/walkers" here. It's raining again, we've seen the sun only twice in the last week and a half. I'm still optimistic, but my co-workers are getting grumpier by the minute.
Enjoy your Wednesday, Everybody. :hi:

Just think about it - this job is going to be really good for you. You can take classes, work, and then convince your Dad just how well you're doing for yourself (and then maybe the bus won't be an option anymore). Besides, think of how proud of yourself you're going to be. You'll feel accomplished. I know you can do it.

The bad news is...I went to Mcdonalds and got one of them Salad adult happy meals with the step gauge. According to the gauge I'm actually only walking 3.2 miles. I guess the building manager gave me the bum steer with the 6 laps equals a mile story. Oh well...
The good news is that I just walked a little over three miles and I feel great.

Plus he's at a field Op for 21 days and I'm not sure if my planned visit to see him in a few weeks is going to work out. :( Other than that, peachy. How about you?

63. You may want to try something a little lighter
From what I understand, Pilates takes a higher than average fitness level. If the Pilates is too much, you could try a step or kickboxing video to work up to Pilates.

66. That's true.
But it's a lot of things mixed together, not just pilates. I mean, I'm going to suck at it for a week or two, but I like some of the things it incorporates (including some nifty dance moves). I don't know, it's like I feel strained to get some of the moves and that motivates me? It just still hurts like hell.

What do you do for workouts?

69. I joined the gym in my office building
I've got the treadmill, recumbent bike, elliptical rider, stairmaster, the group sessions of cardio kickboxing (45min), abs (30mins) and step (45min). At home I run 3mi twice during the week and 5mi during the weekend. It's time to up the running mileage.

72. But not all at the same time
Then I'd be dead! :silly:

Weights and machines on the days I don't have the group sessions. Run twice during the week and one long run on the weekend.

74. How long have you been doing this?
Do you also try to eat healthier, or do you eat anything you want?

78. Healthy
Edited on Wed Jun-02-04 07:43 AM by Lurking_Argyle
Mostly vegetarian, fish and seafood preferred. I rarely eat dessert. I bake my own pies (pumpkin, sweet potato, etc.) Ice cream when on sale.

I joined the gym in the fall to work out so I can play soccer again, hence the avatar.

80. Yummy!
To the pumpkin pie I mean. :)

I can't stand seafood though. I used to like it when I was a kid but the sight of it makes me sick these days. That's really impressive of you though, seriously. I'm just not used to being around healthy eaters I suppose.

84. Not sure the weekend is going to happen.
:( (btw, thanks for the confidence, that's really cool of you!)

His 12 day field op has turned into 21 days. He's thinking (since he has rank and worked all of the 4 day leave he was supposed to get) that he might be out of the field by the time I'm supposed to get there, but things are still up in the air. :(

52. GOOD MORNING 0_0
I'm really not in the mood this morning to go to the gym. I'm still in a bad mood that both Krispy Kreme and Starbucks are closed due to damage from last nights storms :( So I had to settle for a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Biscuit from McDonalds..lol...Ok, so maybe I do need to get to the gym.

59. LOL.... It's a recumbent bike...
and I have a bar stool next to it with my laptop on it... it's a nice setup actually. I work from home, so I often get on my bike while I'm on conference calls. I have to regulate my breathing though in case I need to contribute. :)

If I could rig up my computer like that, maybe riding wouldn't be so bad. That's really awesome of you, seriously. Keep up the great job!
