Computer help:URGENT!!!
Ok, so the deal is, I'm running two OS's on here:

An English install of Win2K and a Korean install of WinXP. The XP got some viruses which I thought I cleaned up. However, one of them was IncrediFind, a severe browser hijacker. So I ran Hijack this, and deleted a couple of what I thought were the relevant registry files. However, now whenever I try to browse, neither Explorer nor Firefox can connect to any sites.

So I'm guessing I probably deleted something important in the registry. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Would be greatly appreciated.

1. did you save an "undo" in hijack this?
Hijack This is a pretty powerful program that tends to overshoot its mark. You may need to reinstall IE. If you PM me I can send you the starter program for it (around 500k).

2. First Thought
The first ideas that come into my head are reinstalling Firefox, upgrading Explorer, and re-applying the latest service packs. That's about all I can come up with without having your computer in my office. :)

4. Likely problems:
1. Your proxy settings have been changed by IncrediFind.

2. Your hosts file settings have been changed by IncrediFind.

3. Your TCP/IP Stack settings, in the registry, have been changed(and nuked, when removed...) by IncrediFind. That can be fixed by running a program called WinsockXPFix. Google it.

5. Hah hah lol...blush cringe...
Sorry guys/gals. It seems to be working now. I'm not sure what I did, but I think I blocked some service in Explorer. Man I got to buy a hardware firewall.

Thanks for the tips/help extended.
