Fresh Fruit Season! Post your summertime treats here! |
|
Here's mine, about to make some up now:
One fresh pineapple two fresh mangoes 1/4 cup water 1/4 cup corn syrup 1/4 cup honey
Put it all in a food processor, puree. Then put the puree in a shallow pan, and freeze.
Pull it out of the freezer, and put it back in the food processor, give it a good spin to froth it up a bit.
Serving suggestion: fresh grated ginger on top. Yum!
(I wish I could remember who I stole this from. Alton? Rachel? One of those two, most likely.)

Sorry, old joke. :D
Actually, a lime rickey is (stolen from google, these are the best recipes I could find):
Lime Rickey 1 1/2 oz Gin 1/2 oz Lime Juice Club Soda 1 wedge(s) Lime
Directions/Comments: Pour juice of lime and gin into a highball glass over ice cubes. Fill with carbonated water and stir. Add the wedge of lime and serve. If this is too sour for you, you can also add some sugar.
You can make a virgin lime rickey:
3/4 oz fresh Lime Juice 1 oz Simple Syrup 3 dashes Angostura Bitters 6 - 8 oz Club Soda
Build all ingredients in a collins glass and top with soda. Garnish with a spiral of lime peel, and serve.
Edited to add smiley. :D
