2. If my father-in-law didn't call to congratulate us
Edited on Wed Jun-02-04 08:14 PM by madmax
neither one of us would remember. We have a thing - we don't bother with b'days, anniversary, etc. When we like something we buy it for ourselves and tell the other thank you - you bought me this for whatever. Works for us.

If you're happy a date isn't important and if you aren't candy and flowers on a certain day mean zilch. Just my 2 cents.

Happy Anniversary  to you and Mrs. rchsod

:toast:

3. A WOMAN who doesn't bother
with remembering, or mind if her man forgets, birthdays, anniversaries, etc.?? WOW! I'm a gal and I don't think I've ever heard of such a thing, lol! Why, that just upsets the natural order of things, you know!

7. Well, maybe but
I always like my gift! LOL!!

This is my second marriage. My first one drank and beat me. After 12 years of being a single Mom I met Prince Charming... Who cares if he's forgetful ;)

8. Here's another one -- my wife
I am the one who remembers dates here. But of course I don't bitch and moan that she forgets; I only savor how lucky a man I am. :loveya:

4. You should start another thread....
something with the title of: My wife is the most wonderful Goddess in the universe!!! Then explain in the message that it's your anniversary and how much you love her and then when you have 50+ posts to it (we'll kick it) then you can show her the thread.

It's not much but it's better than forgetting the holiday all together.

6. Tell her that a study was done that showed that happily married men
were three times more likely to forget the wedding anniversaries than unhappily married men... Tell her you are a VERY HAPPILY MARRIED MAN and buy her something romantic. :D

I had a present I bought months ago, and just forgot that I had it.

14. Dude! Write this shit DOWN, no? Get a calendar!
God love ya, and I'm as much of a flake as you are, but I've learned the hard way that it really does pay to write things down on a calendar. Women are sticklers for stuff like anniversaries. Which is one more crucial thing my father never mentioned when he was supposedly "raising" me.

Anyway, best of luck!
